ADMISSION TERMS AND
CONDITIONS
Admission Terms and Conditions.
All students who have been accepted by North London College of Business Studies here in referred to as NLCBS will be bound by the following terms and conditions:
1. Registration fees of £200.00 pounds once paid are non-refundable. Application for Admissions, which is not accompanied by the registration fee, will not be considered
2. Applications received, prior to the commencement date of the course must be accompanied by a deposit of £1500.00 or the full tuition fees if less. The deposit will be refunded in full if the application is refused by NLCBS. However, if the application is accepted the deposit is non-refundable.
3. Full refund of tuition fee deposits for overseas students abroad are made in condition that all original confirmation documents issued to the student including the receipts(s) and the original documentation of refusal from the embassy are to be returned by registered post no later than two months after the refusal-letter from the embassy and/or commencement of the course registered on. Confirmation will also be sought from the respective embassy. If tuition fees are paid by the representative/sponsor in the UK, refunds will be made only to the representative/sponsor in the UK.
4. Requests for transfer of start date to a later date on a course by overseas students abroad will be considered only at the discretion of the College for which supporting documents will be requested. If accepted this will be considered as a fresh application and the registration fee will be recharged. For such a request all previously issued documents by the college have to be returned by registered post before new documents can be issued.
5. All declarations made on the application form for admission is accepted in good faith. Students, who make false declarations about age, qualifications, financial resources, etc and fail to produce documentary evidence of qualifications, will result in the expulsion of the students from the course, no refund of tuition fees will be made.
6. A student may be transferred to another course for which he/she may be qualified. If a student transfers to another course, additional tuition fees may be applicable of the duration after the transfer falls short of the required number of terms to complete the course. Extension of time on a course will also incur additional tuition fees.
7. Tuition fees for the course must be paid in full before commencing the course, unless a prior arrangement is made for paying in
instalment (applicable only to students in the UK). If on instalments fees must be paid on the due dates or registration dates specified by the college. All tuition fees for the course must be paid in full before the commencement of the final term.
8. The college is sympathetic towards students who are unable to pay the full fees is one
instalment (only applicable to students in the UK with prior arranged with the College for paying fees in
instalments) As no interest is charged on the fees paid in
instalments, it is with regret that notice will be given of this facility is abused, any outstanding fees will become payable immediately, and the student will not be allowed to continue on the course unless all outstanding fees are settled.
9. If cheques, credit card payments/standing orders, etc are dishonoured by the bank, all fees will become payable immediately.
10. Tuition fees once paid are not refundable in part or total. However, students who have to leave the college due to illness after the commencement of the course (to be supported by a doctor’s certificate) may transfer their fees to a course starting at a later date at NLCBS. If a student is unable to join a course even at a later date, his/her fees can be transferred to another student enrolling at NLCBS. This arrangement has to be made by the student. NLCBS will make a transfer fee charge of £100.00 pounds.
11. Fees listed by NLCBS are for tuition fees only, unless otherwise stated. Examination fee(s), textbooks,
stationeries, registration fees with professional bodies, etc are not included.
12. NLCBS reserves the right to change the tuition fees at anytime, although students presently on the course, and students who have registered prior to the change will not be affected.
13. There will be no reduction on fees for those students starting their course late.
14. All course work must be completed by students and handed in on time. Students must pass with an average of 50% in both their course work and internal exams in order to progress to the next term. Students, who do not achieve the standards set by NLCBS at the end of each term, may have to retake their Modules.
15. Should a student change his/her UK address, the student must notify the college immediately.
16. NLCBS reserves the right to discontinue any course or group. Students presently on the course will be transferred to other appropriate course. This is also applicable if examination bodies cease to exit, when students presently on the course will be transferred to other appropriate course.
17. Progress reports and attendance records can be provided to sponsors of a student on request. All international students must ensure they maintain an overall attendance of above 80%. If this is not adhered to a student may be strike off the register without any notice and Border and Immigration Agency will be informed (BIA).
18. In the event of a student being expelled due to gross misconduct, low attendance or breaking the UK law, tuition fees that have been paid to date, will not be refunded. If an overseas student is required to leave the country by the Home Office for poor or non-attendance, or because of any breach of law, tuition fees paid will be non- refundable.
19. NLCBS will not be responsible for loss of mail sent to students at the college address, although every care will be taken to unsure that mail sent by recorded delivery/registered post is handed to students as soon as it arrives. Ordinary post should be collected from the admission office.
The conditions on this application form apply to the student even if a sponsor or guardian signs the application form on his/her behalf. NLCBS reserves the right to incorporate any alterations or changes to the above. All students will be bound by these changes as they occur.
Payments by Cheque or Draft.
All cheques and drafts should be crossed and made payable to the North London College of Business Studies.
Course Teachers
Professionally qualified teachers will govern all Courses.
General Requirements for Admission:
Students must produce their previous educational qualification certificates before the enrolment of the courses they wish to. For overseas students, we require 3 passport size photographs, 1 certified photocopy of each educational qualification certificates and £200.00 non-refundable Draft, payable to North London College of Business Studies for the Acceptance Letter. We will also require £1500.00 from overseas students in order to secure a place.
Completed Application Form must be forwarded to the College for evaluation and acceptance, include all supporting documentation (where possible).
Do not send originals. It is further mentioned that your application should include a Registration Fee of £200.00, which is non refundable.
Visa Requirements
Many students will need a visa to study in the UK. If you are unsure or require further information please check your local British Embassy, British Council, British Consulate or British High Commission. NON-EU students will require to have entry
clearance issued by their local British High Commission / Embassy......
In order to obtain a visa, the British authorities in your home country will need to see:
- The original acceptance letter of Admission or Unconditional offer letter/Certificate of sponsorship.
- Your previous qualifications and certificates.
- Proof that there are sufficient funds to support yourself in your personal account minimum £7200.00 plus outstanding fees for a minimum of 28 day's.
