Certificate for Working in the Health Sector level 3

Duration: 1 year
Fees: £ 700 intensive (three months), £1600 (full time)

Awarding Body: NCFE

Entry Requirements:
- Must be 16 years of age or above and
- Have at least NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- If the candidates have no qualifications they will need to have at least one year experience in working in the care sector.

Course Content

This is a practical, work-related course in which the student learns by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations and simulations, activities and demands.

The qualification aims to give learners the opportunity to investigate a work role in the health sector and to provide the underpinning knowledge needed to work effectively.

The course is made up of six mandatory units:

Unit 01 Communication skills for working in the health sector
Unit 02 People and personal development in the health sector
Unit 03 Health, safety and security in the health sector
Unit 04 Service improvement in the health sector
Unit 05 Maintaining quality standards in the health sector
Unit 06 Equality and diversity in the health sector
