General Terms & Conditions
- The minimum age requirement for any application/student is 18 years.
- Applicant must meet all the admission criteria and must submit filled up application form along with a) two passport size photos, b) copy of passport c) copies of relevant academic qualifications and transcripts and d) pay required tuition fees.
- Students deliberately providing false information/forged documents will be expelled from the college and will be reported to the appropriate authority.
- If a student withdraws his/her application before obtaining a CAS or there is a visa refusal, tuition fee is refunded after deducting administration costs. In such case, the student must put in writing a request for refund, and must return the original CAS if applicable, the receipt of payments or any other documents received from the college. Please note that a refund will take between four to six weeks to be processed. If a student decides to withdraw his/her application and not proceed with his/her studies after being assigned a CAS, only 50% will be refunded from the initial deposit paid, on the grounds that the student has not started the course. The administration charge will still apply and the refund process might take a minimum of four weeks.
- Dishonored cheques/missed payments will automatically lead to cancellation of tuition fee installment plans and students would be required to pay the outstanding tuition fee at once. Students with outstanding tuition fees may not be allowed to sit for examination or awarded final qualification unless the arrears are fully cleared. Student facilities (including holiday letter, employment or other letters) will be curtailed unless the arrears are cleared up.
- The college reserves the right to suspend or dismiss students without refund of fees in the event of misconduct or unsatisfactory attendance/progress.
- Tuition fee does not include membership and exam fees of professional/awarding bodies. Students are responsible to subscribe and/or renew for membership and examination when and as due.
- Applicant/student must update the college on a continuous basis about his/her visa application status and/or book an appointment for enrolment; any changes to personal circumstances or change of contact details/UK address by website and/or contacting the college.
- International students are required to attend at least 15-18 hours of study per week and participate in assessments/tests and submit assignments. Failure to do so may adversely affect their immigration status.
- The college reserves all the right to refuse admission/withdraw sponsorship of any student and prohibit coming to the United Kingdom and/or informing the relevant authority.
- The College rigorously complies with regulations and directives set by the UK Boarder Agency and other relevant authorities.
- Unauthorized absence of 9 consecutive sessions may lead to dismissal from the College and reporting to the Home Office. Students need to provide medical evidence of illness under all circumstances. Holidays during term time are not permitted except for exceptional circumstances.
- The college reserves the right to change the commencement date of any course and the students may be required to study at any of the college campuses.
- The college is not responsible for any claim made by a third party, action of a third party or any loss caused as a result of information supplied by a third party. The college takes no responsibility for personal loss, damage or stolen property.
- The college abides by Data Protection Act.
- The college does not tolerate any form of discrimination and/or harassment towards its staff, students or visitors.
- Tuition fees must be paid by Banker’s draft/ Bank Transfer or UK cheque and must be made payable to “North London College of Business Studies”. Students are advised to keep the receipt all the times and present when necessary. Tuition fees MUST NOT BE PAID IN CASH to an agent.
- NLCBS may be with independent student recruitment agents. While selecting an agent student must make sure they are trusted.
